Hamilton makes it two out of two
Monday 21 July 2008

Lewis Hamilton drew comparisons to his idol, Ayrton Senna, following his dominating performance at Hockenheim.
Hamilton looked to be running away with the race from the start, but an accident and subsequent appearance of the safety car erased his sizeable advantage. Emerging from a pit-stop in fifth place, Hamilton proceeded to aggressively work his back to the front of the field for his second consecutive victory.
With team-mate Heikki Kovalainen finishing fifth it was a good day for the McLaren team, but Ferrari held onto its lead in the Constructor's Championship with a useful 3rd/6th combination from Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen.
Timo Glock, whose crash in his Panasonic Toyota brought out the safety car, was passed fit after some early concerns.
"Timo is fine, thankfully, and that is the most important thing," commented team Chairman Tadashi Yamashina. Obviously it was a heavy impact and he did not get out of the car immediately, so he was taken to the circuit medical centre, as is the normal procedure in these incidents. There was no sign of any injury but he was taken from there to a hospital for further precautionary checks, including X-rays. He has now completed these tests and they have confirmed he is fine. He has no concussion."
